Pariwaar Delights, a well-known Indian restaurant from Jersey City, has expanded to Hoboken, opening its second location at 616 Washington Street—the former site of Mikie Squared, which closed in January 2024. The Hoboken branch officially opened its doors on January 22, 2025.

Owners Mohammed Al Ghulam ("Mag") and his wife, Hina Afreen, who immigrated from Southern India nearly a decade ago, founded Pariwaar Delights in 2019. Hina, the head chef, brings traditional recipes learned from her mother to the menu.

The restaurant is renowned for its authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, particularly its biryanis, which are prepared using eighteen different spices, some sourced directly from India. The biryani is cooked in the traditional Hyderabadi dum style, where ingredients are layered in a clay pot and steamed together, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.

In addition to biryanis, Pariwaar Delights offers a diverse menu featuring street snacks like pakora, home-style curries with a focus on spicy, coconut-infused South Indian flavors, and Indian fusion dishes that span regional specialties from Punjab to Tamil Nadu.

The expansion into Hoboken reflects the restaurant's growing popularity and its commitment to bringing authentic Indian flavors to a wider audience
